The exfoliating process allows:
EXFOLIATION OF THE EPIDERMIS STRATUM CORNEUM
The stratum corneum is the external layer of the skin and therefore is the most exposed to the effects of time. It generally thickens as the skin becomes mature, with a consequent alteration of colour incarnate (skin appears opaque and greyish) and appearance of skin spots.
INCREASE CELL TURNOVER
Chemical exfoliation process stimulates a rapid cell renewal, which helps to improve the physiological state of the skin (better oxygenation, elasticity and skin tone, with an improved synthesis of collagen and elastin).
SMOOTHNESS AND BRIGHTNESS OF SKIN
The elimination of the superficial skin layer and the exposure of the underlying cells make the skin smoother and more radiant.
ALPHA – HYDROXYACIDS (AHAS)
Exfoliation is obtained by a chemical peeling with alpha-hydroxyacids (AHAs), fruit acids whose chemical characteristics allow them to have a moisturizing effect at low concentration and an exfoliating activity at higher concentrations. The AHAs used in PHOTOWHITE products are effective molecules that produce a strong peeling without altering natural functionality and integrity of skin:
- Glycolic acid
- Mandelic acid
